READY is here for anyone in need of a new job. Our employment specialists will work with you to identify what you want to do, and what services and programs might help you get there -- everything from finding career-seeker tools and services, to updating your resume, to practicing your interview skills, to learning job readiness skills that make all the difference in your job search.

READY provides free one-on-one job readiness services available to anyone who is unemployed or under-employed in the Omaha metro or Fremont areas.

The program is available at the Goodwill Headquarters & Employment Services Center at 4805 N. 72nd Street (Benson Park Plaza, 72nd & Ames) in Omaha and the Goodwill Fremont retail store located in Fremont at 3175 East Elk Lane.

Basic Computer Classes

READY is also offering basic computer classes in Microsoft Office's most popular programs -- Word, Excel and Powerpoint. You will receive individual tutoring in a classroom setting. Learners will receive one-on-one assistance or work at their own speed in Goodwill’s computer lab. Classes are held Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Goodwill’s Benson Park Plaza location, 4805 N 72nd St.

WORD: Students will learn how to create professional-looking word processing documents and will be proficient in Word’s most common features, as well as some advanced features like Mail Merge.
POWERPOINT: Students will learn how to create and present professional-looking slideshows and will be proficient in PowerPoint and be able to use many of its advanced features.
EXCEL: Students will learn how to use worksheets to enter, store and analyze data, and they will be proficient in Excel’s most commonly used features.
