Goodwill makes a list of best places to thrift in Omaha

Goodwill workforce development program Work Experience trainer and fashion blogger Sarah Lorsung Tvrdik draws on her insider knowledge as a Goodwill employee and her wisdom as an experienced thrifter to compile some thrifting tips in a new article at OMAHYPE:

Well, as an employee of Goodwill Industries of Eastern Nebraska and Southwest Iowa, I know that around this time we experience a huge increase in donations. This is for one simple reason: customers donate their unwanted goods that they’ve been meaning to donate all year in the last few weeks of December in order to see their charitable donations on their taxes.

And that’s what makes late December through January the best time to shop. The stores are absolutely flooded with donations, calling on the assistance of shoppers everywhere to buy buy buy!

Several Goodwill locations made her list of the best thrift stores in Omaha. To find out the rest and read her thrifting tips, visit
