Margre Durham, an influential community volunteer, joined Goodwill’s Board of Trustees in 1978 when the organization was faltering. She quickly began her quest to find just the right people to help stabilize Goodwill. With 30 days left before Goodwill would close down, Durham convened the Executive Committee, and together they decided a major commitment of time and money was needed to save the organization. She recruited many people who were exceptionally instrumental in putting the agency on the right track, both financially and administratively, including Bill Preston, Gary Yocum and Dee Owen.
